ELISHA’S MONEY JOURNEY
Hi there,
I’m Elisha and I am passionate about helping small owners not only keep up with their statutory obligations but also help them understand their numbers, in order to reduce costs and increase profits.
Throughout my life, I have had aspirations to be creative. When I was a small child I wanted to be an artist, in high school my favorite class was drama and to this day my favorite days of the year are Halloween and my children’s dress-up days at school.
Sometimes though, no matter how creative someone wants to be, it just isn’t so. So, it was my second love, money, that I was drawn to. Doing my parent’s banking every day, rocking up at the bank to complete the banking form, adding the cheques and cash together (back when you went into the bank) I won over the bank manager at the early age of 11. From there I have always been drawn to money, making money, saving money, investing money, it was my first love from an early age.
I moved on to completing her Bachelor in Commerce and achieving her CPA Certification. Working in large international engineering firms in such roles as finance manager, business analyst, and commercial manager, she was an instrumental part of the strategic direction and growth of these businesses.
After my second child, I knew I could bring her commercial knowledge and expertise to small business owners to bring them their own CFO to help them not only fulfill statutory obligations but also strategically grow a business.
Elevation bookkeeping was born from watching so many business owners stressed with their business finances. Be it not making enough profit, feeling overwhelmed with the constant piles of paperwork flowing through their door, or worse still not even knowing about the bills coming in due to the digital age we live in. Missing or not opening an email with an invoice attached is so much easier to do than a bill coming through your door in an envelope. I want to help business owners not only elevate their profit but also be able to not worry about their business finances and see above those numbers to focus on what they do best.
